How to Get Something from Conferences and Workshops

Ever feel like you did not receive much from the conferences you attend? How can we apply our experience to our own conferences to help our participants maximize their time and learning?

John Maxwell points to a great article by Dr. Dan Reiland about this topic. Read his article and see what you think...

I'm curious what you read in the way of magazines or websites that helps keep you current on the local church (not just missions). I like Outreach magazine and a few others... how about you?

Good article, even if he is a former San Diego pastor!

As I think of suggestions from ACMC staff on how a church can benefit from conferences, I disagree with those who suggest the church team divide up and go to different workshops and then share what they learned. I think the best way for most churches would be to choose the workshop(s) they think best focus on an agreed upon interest, and all go to it and then apply what they learned. Larry

I read CT regularly and the DTS magazine. Look a lot at book reviews and briefs on Christian Books and Amazon web sites.
